Compton Unified School District was spotlighted in a recent AP News story for its remarkable academic achievements, distinguishing itself as a leader in educational recovery post-pandemic. While many districts nationwide continue to face challenges in bridging learning gaps, CUSD has demonstrated significant progress in both reading and math scores.
Twelve scholars from Enterprise Middle School boys' mentor group had the honor of welcoming Super Mentor Mohamet Mbaye for an inspiring discussion on The Art of Loving Your Melanin. Mbaye shared his personal journey of growing up in Africa and the challenges he faced upon arriving in America due to the color of his skin.

As part of their Annual Helpful Honda Teacher Appreciation Awards, The Helpful Honda Guys surprised Davis Middle School’s Mr. Jose Gonzalez with $5,000 worth of school supplies.
Davis Middle School, in the Compton Unified School District, has been named in the Top 10 shortlists for the World’s Best School Prizes 2024 for Innovation. The World’s Best School Prizes are the world’s most prestigious education prizes and this year’s winners will share a $50,000 prize fund.
